“CASE STUDY: Social Media Marketing for a Nonprofit”

Noni Films & Media has shifted into a higher gear lately. Over the last week, we’ve been multi-tasking, to say the least. We’ve been re-writing scripts and creating shotlists for the training video we’re about to shoot/edit for a local outdoor adventure company.  In addition, we were on a whirlwind trip to Los Angeles, to document the comeback of  a recording artist and performer as a new chapter in a documentary project we’ve been c0-producing with Ready Set Go! since 2002. Backstage moments, and full-coverage concert footage with a mixed audio line direct from the sound board. Big news after an almost 5-year break from filming.

jtojlogoWe’ve  also been spending time on behalf of Noni Films & Media as a media/marketing sponsor for The Jungle to Jungle Project. A traveling education and technology project down the Amazon River involving HD video, Twitter Feeds, and almost real-time blogging needs to come with it’s own instruction manual. Speaking of books, using the word “following” evokes ideas from Seth Godin ’s “Tribes” (recommended in audiobook form from audible.com). To put it in that context, we’re helping Jungle to Jungle connect with their tribe, whomever and wherever they might be, so that they can lead our global community to embrace exploration, the wonders of natural sciences, and technology.

Let’s see what we’ve learned: (more…)

Exciting News! (Or, “Obama, Here We Come!”)

ObamawithChangeWe are proud and honored to report that Noni Films has completed a collaboration with renowned artist and sculptor Spar Street. Spar is a wonderful person and quite the visionary – he’s proposing a ground-breaking project to the White House. We produced, directed, wrote, shot and edited a multimedia proposal that is now headed on a journey to D.C.!!

We had the special priviledge of working with Grammy-nominated Composer Peter Kater (who calls Maui his home), and Visual Effects/Video Artist Bill Lae, who runs Lightform Productions in Los Angeles. Bill has brought his talents to such shows as “The X-Files” and “Buffy: The Vampire Slayer”. We will soon share snippets of the video, but for now, the proposal is top secret.
