New Video, Old Friends.
We would love to share with you a new video we produced for Presence Productions, an event company on Maui that has been getting quite a lot of buzz lately. Together, we’ve been creating an online presence for Presence (yes!) and getting a viral video out in to the web’s social sphere to get people excited about what’s to come. Here’s the video, which captures just the tip of the iceberg of what this team of creative geniuses has up it’s creative sleeves.
Noni Films is off to BarryFest!
We’re excited to head out the door, arms full of video gear, to the 8th Annual BarryFest concert and annual fundraiser for Mana’o Radio. We love the Mana’o crew and will do anything in our power to support their community efforts.
If you haven’t checked out BarryFest yet – you are missing out! (See the video above to get The Haiku Hillbillies’ performance of “On the Road Again” – from last year’s fest).
Top-notch performances, great food and other vendors, really well-organized, gorgeous setting! Click here to get all the info: www.barryfest.org
Sneak Peek Clip of the Week: Capoeira Demo at the Jungle to Jungle Fundraiser – Part 1
Last week, we decided to sponsor and assist a newly launched local nonprofit technology and education organization, and we’re excited to tell you about it. Our good friends and collaborators Amanda Wilson and Jill Pridemore are about to leave for the Amazon River for Jungle to Jungle , a “virtual expedition” program they’ve launched to help bring students of the world together as science and technology explorers. (There’s more after the jump!) (more…)
Clip of The Week: Local Dancer Joel Suarez
A few weeks ago, Sara from Noni Films donated a full day of documentary video work to our friend Joel Suarez’ dance benefit event at Casanova Italian Restaurant in Makawao. Joel is an incredible dancer and dance teacher, and you might recognize him as the morning barista at Casanova Deli. While filming conditions at Casanova are often less than desired, we were pleasantly surprised with what our DVX-100b could accomplish.
There are many more gorgeous dance pieces from this day, but we thought we’d start with sharing Joel’s dance piece – a beautiful interpretation of Madonna’s “Om Shanti”.
