A few months ago, while attending a Maui Film School workshop with Harriette Yahr, we learned about a new crowd-sourcing tool currently in the private beta phase.
CrowdControls is, according to the website, “a demand tool for filmmakers, musicians and other artists to find where audiences are located around the world.”
Wow, that is brilliant!! Marketed with the tagline “It’s like, you know the crowd? It controls”, you know the people behind it are mostly likely really smart, and really funny too.
We’re just beside ourselves with excitement about the implications this has for independent filmmakers and we can’t wait until we’re able to use it for the Plant a Wish tree planting tour and documentary film. As soon as it is available to us, you can bet we’ll be sharing it here!

Hi Sara! It’s Harriette here. So happy to hear about PLANT A WISH. Contact me I will give you Brian’s email (the guru behind CC) so you can talk with him! Yes I can see trees on that map where the red dots are!
